writers conferences - writing workshops, SHORT STORY CONTEST Welcome to Abroad Writers' Conference--Authors without Borders, where world voices are heard. Our top heavy conference is led by some of the worlds most talented authors, poets, screenwriters and literary agents with a ratio of 1 to 3. Instead of being lost in a crowd at a large conference, Abroad Writers' Conference prides itself on holding small group meetings where participants have personal contact with everyone. Stimulating talks, interviews, readings, Q&A's, writing workshops, film screenings, private consultations and social gatherings all take place within a week to ten days. Abroad Writers' Conference promises you true networking opportunities and full detailed feedback on your writing.

Abroad Writers' Conferences are devoted to introducing our participants to world views here in the United States and Abroad. Throughout the world we invite several authors to come join us to give readings and to participate on a panel. Our discussion groups touch upon a wide range of topics from important issues of our times to publishing abroad and in the United States. Our objective is to broaden our cultural and scientific perspectives of the world through discourse and writing.

A Letter from a participant: "Words cannot begin to express how grateful I am to you for acknowledging my work and for making my life-altering (truly) experience in Provence. You have created something truly extraordinary--a communion of artists and thinkers of various backgrounds and disciplines and provided the magical space for like minds to meet. You have, in this rare creation, enabled writers at all stages of their careers to come together and shape their thoughts and ideas, and change one another in the process. You have built in every sense a true contemporary "Salon", a remarkable forum. You should be so very proud of your brain-child, after so much thought, effort and planning. It's an extraordinary reality! I am honored and grateful to have been chosen to be a part of it. When my career takes off I know it will be, in no small part, because of the support and encouragement I received from you and all associated with ABROAD WRITERS' CONFERENCE. It meant more than you know." GRATEFULLY, Kelleigh Greenberg

In addition to our conference we are activity involved with getting our participants published through our journal Driftwood and our Literary Consultancy. Driftwood, a Literary Journal of Voices from Afar. Driftwood is an exercise in curiosity, a journal whose focus is on the world beyond our own confines. We find the world way too interesting and humanity far too complex to be defined exclusively by one culture's point of view. All our Abroad Writers' competition winners will be published in our literary journal along with numerous stories written by our writers' conference participants. Abroad Writers' Literary Consultancy. Our literary consultancy promises to offer you expert advise on your manuscripts. The Best Selling author Rebecca Walker is our leading reader, along with Anne LeClaire,Sophie Powell and Stephanie Staal. Abroad Writers' Literary Consultancy also refers all promising manuscripts and fellowship winners to agents.
